Wild Thyme, picked from the mountains of Sfakia in Crete is woven with Tamar Valley Bayleaf and Sage, grown in Cornwall. This incense stick will fill your home with the fragrant exotic aroma of summer herbs. The gentle smoke will clear your head, and cleanse the atmosphere; The perfect present for someone who seems to have everything.

Sage is known as Salvia (which means to salve, or heal).
The herbs are all organic, and were all collected personally, from known sources. None of them are bought. The Bay and Sage were grown organically in my own garden, in Gunnislake in the Tamar Valley on the Devon Cornwall border, where the land has not been touched by any chemicals for over 25 years. I gathered the Thyme from Sfakia, on a coastal path that runs between Chora Sfakiona and Paleohora, overlooking the turquoise Libyan Sea in Crete - known as the island of the Goddess.

To use, place the stick on a plate, large flat stone or slate block. Light the end of the herbals stick and allow to burn for a few moments before blowing it out, then waft the smoke through your house.
Be careful not to breathe in the smoke directly, and not to fill the area too thickly with smoke—this is not a fumigation, just a cleansing, so no need to go overboard. Then slowly walk around where you are and take the smoke to each area you would like to cleanse. Concentrate on gateway areas, such as windows, doors, closets, as well as hallways. Also concentrate on the corners of a room.
The herbs are hand bound with cotton thread into a unique and handcrafted gift that has been made with love and with an intention to heal and bring delight, clarity and love into your home.

The Bayleaf contains a compound called linalool. A study by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists found that linalool decreases anxiety and enhances social interaction.Bay leaves contain mycrene and eugenol. Both of these compounds possess great anti-inflammatory properties and are, in fact, used heavily in stress reduction therapy.
When you burn a bay leaf, these compounds become airborne. Once inhaled, they will reduce any respiratory inflammation. It is said that this can work wonders if you suffer from allergies or have a bad cold.
